October 2007 to March 2009 | San Francisco

McCann Worldgroup/MRM is full-service advertising agency, providing interactive, print and broadcast solutions for clients such as Microsoft, HP and Nortel. The projects I managed were primarily sourced by Microsoft and had budgets starting at $40,000 and up. I have managed projects that had an approved budget of 1 million dollars.

  • Providing hands on project management during scoping, design, development, QA, deployment and post-deployment phases for website builds on microsoft.com, landing pages, banner campaigns and email blasts.

  • Collaborating with Creative Directors, Information Architects, .Net engineers, Flash Developers and Account leads to define the scope and functional specifications.

  • Defining project plans, scopes, work effort estimations and communicating project milestones to internal and external team members.

Accomplishments

Be Great Campaign Site | Directed interactive project through creative and technical aspects of the flash application development for this Boys and Girls Clubs of America 2008 advertising campaign to meet a publicized launch date resulting in positive press for BGCA.

Overseeing the implementation of Atlas, WebTrends, Omniture and RIO tagging strategies and educating all team members on roles and responsibilities resulting in accurate implementation of web strategy.

Senior Project Manager

Entercomm Interactive
Dec 2006 to Sep 2007 | San Francisco

Entercomm Interactive is an interactive agency providing web development, maintenance and specializing in custom content management system solutions for small businesses.

As Senior Project Manager, I was client facing and worked with clients to maintain sites developed by Entercomm in addition to overseeing new web development projects. I worked internally with the creative director, engineers and production team to produce a product that met the client's needs.

  • Defined team production pathways for Flash applications, web sites, software and content management systems.
  • Developed high-level content strategy, site maps and information architecture for small to medium websites.

Accomplishments

VisitWindemere.com | Lead from conception to completion the two-phase site including directing the outsourced flash development of the Interactive Map. I performed Quality Assurance testing of the finished flash application. The content on this site is database driven to allow for quick revisions by a simple import of an updated spreadsheet.

MuellerAustin.com | Directed the outsourced development of the floor plan viewer Flash application. This required significant integratation between our internal resources, the outsourced Flash developer and the client. Additionally, I ensured the integration of the content between the Flash application and site's scripts and databases.

Media Technology Supervisor

Pearson Benjamin Cummings/Addison Wesley is a publishing division of Pearson Education that publishes college physics, chemistry, biology and human anatomy textbooks.

This position was a consultancy funded by Progressive Information Technologies ( a publishing production vendor in Pennsylvania that specializes in providing publishing services for math, physics and chemistry). My understanding of the technicalities of a propriety application built to automate the production of a multimedia product called the "instructor's resource CD" (IRCD) positioned me as the technical advisor for all of the IRCD products that were produced across multiple busines groups. In this capacity, I had the opportunity to standardize the production process that was used across multiple vendors when out-sourcing the production of Instructor's Resource CD-ROMs.

  • Defining, planning and directing multiple projects and software development initiatives.
  • Managed the development and roll-out of v2.0 IRCD product and corresponding production application.
  • Directed Quality Assurance efforts, vetted bugs and thoroughly investigated technical issues.
  • Developed templates and step-by-step processes including: a wire-frame template tool for use both in negotiating content with internal clients (editors) and defining the development specifications for external vendors across multiple iterations of a web product; Illustrator templates used to ensure consistent quality in high-volume production of assets across multiple third-party vendors.
  • Implemented and documented production processes and standards resulting in contained costs and consistent product features across business units and third-party development teams.
  • Authored documents including: software functional specifications; best practices for utilizing the v2.0 release of the IRCD production tool; pricing guidelines for small, medium and large-scale projects.
  • Educated internal and external team members on production and product standards, steps in the production process and set expectations for product review through each phase of development.
  • Managed production that was outsourced to India.

Accomplishments

Analyzed internal stakeholder needs, end-user requirements and technical requirements of third-party vendors to define a vision for v2.0 of the IRCD multimedia product and its corresponding production application.

Collaborated with VP of Media during software development functioning as a key reviewer of wireframes, UI design and software development while coordinating the development activities amongst various outsourced project participants (including Software Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and third-party Production Vendors).

Accomplishments
